One Life at a Time is a woman-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2008 by a one time donation from Jim and Christine Driscoll in response to the rise in unemployment in the New England area and throughout the United States during the Great Recession.  In the years since, One Life at a Time has helped over 20,000 people successfully find job security and stability through the their Career Training program and (nominal) fee-based career services.

In 2019, after a long struggle with their son and daughter in recovery, Jim and Chris decided to add to their current mission. Through donations and grants, One Life at a Time now offers a “careers for recovery” program to our portfolio that focuses on those in recovery, supporting their career journey through sobriety, providing job search assistance and job-readiness training. One Life at a Time treats each individual with the care, attention, resources, and respect they deserve.

Our Mission

To make a positive impact on every individual that we meet by providing them with hope and a support system they can rely on, to instill value and worth, and to be a partner to each individual on their journey to find renewed self-confidence and purpose in their careers.
