One Life at a Time is a woman-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2008 by a one-time donation from Jim and Christine Driscoll. The organization was created in response to the surge in unemployment across the New England area and throughout the United States during the Great Recession. Since its inception, One Life at a Time has empowered over 22,000 individuals to achieve job security and stability through its Career Training program and affordable fee-based career services.
In 2019, inspired by their personal experience supporting their son and daughter through recovery, Jim and Christine expanded the organization’s mission. With the help of donations and grants, One Life at a Time launched the “Careers for Recovery” program. This initiative focuses on assisting individuals in recovery, offering job-readiness training and personalized job search support to help them navigate their career paths while maintaining sobriety. At One Life at a Time, every client is treated with the care, attention, and respect they deserve.
